This project is about designing a library and youth center in Ilioupoli, Athens. As a library should be quiet and calm, the design is focused on keeping out the noise pollution from the strets and also creating a welcoming enviroment around the building. The main building is composed by a metal structure and glass facade, while the second bulding is characterised by a concrete soundproof wall. The third building is much smaller and is also a concrete structure. The main purpose of this building is to create a darker area for the books to be kept in order for them to be preserved.   On the ground floor are located a reception, a cafe, and a child daycare area.  In the main building, first second, third and fourth floor are quite similar. They contain studying areas, receptions for book lending and restrooms. In the second building there is a difference in the levels of each floor from the first building. Height is bigger so there are two higher levels instead of four. The first one is part of the daycare area and the second one is a large amphitheatre. The third building is divided into three floors in total. On the ground floor there is a book store and all the upper floors are a library.
